And offers ...  NONE  ... of the kinesthetic three-dimensional resources
that the human brain is so good at using, synthesizing, and remembering.
Meaning: dog ears on the corners of pages, pencilled notes in the margin,
etc.

Of course, you don't need much of that stuff.  Unless you maybe don't
remember everything you knew about those 180,000 lines of code "last
week".  Or unless, you're, like  ... trying to learn something new.

So, if you don't need to learn, and/or if your brain works like a
computer anyway, an IDE is maybe OK.
